Double glazing prices being what they are, it might take a long time until you are financially reaping the rewards of having it installed in your home. It can prove very expensive – and although quotes vary – deciding on say six double glazed windows may well come to about £3000. Factor in a saving of around 50% on your heating bills, thanks to heat conservation, and you could save around £100 annually on energy bills. That said, it could then be around thirty years to recoup your initial outlay of £3000. Double glazing prices are still higher than “Secondary glazing” which can also offer savings to your energy bills.
